To comply with epidemic protection due to confirmed COVID-19 cases on Taipei Campus, explanation of methods for conducting all classes on MCU Taipei Campus through online learning means

Notice Items:
一、台北校區自4月9日起至16日止,課程上線教學進行(不含基河、桃園、金門校區),授課老師可居家或先報備系所使用學校設備進行上線教學,其他校區仍維持實體教學。
1. All classes on Taipei Campus will be conducted using distance learning online means from April 9 to 16 (excluding Jihe, Taoyuan, and Kinmen locations). Responsible faculty members may conduct their courses from their homes or notify the university in advance that they will come and use on-campus facilities to teach their courses. Classes at all other MCU locations will proceed in person.
二、上線教學採Teams及Moodle平台等方式進行授課及學習,並保留相關紀錄以為評量依據。
2. Microsoft Teams and Moodle Teaching and Learning Platform will be used for the online distance learning; please save the related records for assessment documentation.
三、台北校區學生若有修習其他校區課程者,除確診、匡列及自主健康管理者外,皆需依規定時間到班上課。若為自我健康監測者,如接到細胞簡訊或非直接接觸者,可自由行動,但24小時內要完成快篩,並加強自我健康管理,包括早晚量體溫,勤洗手、戴口罩等防疫措施。
3. Taipei Campus students, except those who are confirmed or identified as potential contacts complying with self-health management, who are taking classes at other MCU locations are to attend those classes accordingly. For those complying with self-health monitoring, having received a text notification from the CDC or who are indirect contacts, they can move around freely, conduct a rapid self-test within 24 hours, and practice enhanced self-health management measures, such as checking body temperature morning and night, washing hands frequently, and wearing a face mask.
四、授課教師因疫調為確診、匡列及自主健康管理者,其所授課程採線上上課方式,請老師透過Teams及Moodle平台等系統通知學生,同時電知教務處課務組王淑雯分機:2252或桃園教務組彭鈺娟分機:3144。
4. If faculty members are confirmed or identified as potential contacts complying with self-health management, thus must change their class to be conducted through online distance learning means, please inform students through Microsoft Teams and Moodle platform, as well as inform the Curriculum Section staff Ms. Wang, Shu-Wen at extension 2252 or Taoyuan Academic Affairs Section Ms. Peng, Yu-Juan at extension 3144.
五、採實體授課班級,(1)採固定座位、固定成員方式,並落實實聯制;如無法採固定座位時,請任課老師拍照留存,以便後續疫調。(2)課程進行期間應全程佩戴口罩且落實手部消毒,(3)上課期間禁止飲食,(4)教室應保持通風良好。
5. Classes held on-site need to (1) have students sit in their assigned seats and practice real-name registration. For classes wherein it is not possible to sit in assigned seats, please take photos as proof for further epidemic investigation; (2) wear masks at all time during the class period and sanitize hands; (3) forbid eating during the class; (4) maintain good classroom air ventilation.
六、4月18日至22日期中考照常舉行,隨疫情狀況進行調整,請注意學校防疫專區及教務處最新消息公告,並請教師規劃應變評量方式並告知學生。
6. The midterm examinations scheduled for April 18 to 22 will proceed as usual. If there is any adjustment, please pay attention to further announcements from the Epidemic Prevention Emergency Response Team and the Academic Affairs Division. In this case, faculty members are to adjust the assessment methods accordingly and inform students.

■ 補充說明疫情的匡列對象及做法之說明
Additional explanation about different level of contacts and related measures
(1)確診:在醫院治療,學校1位確診,跟他同選課程的同學及任課老師的課程都採線上授課。有2位確診,該校區改變教學方式,停課不停學。
(1) Confirmed contacts: hospitalized for treatment. If there is one confirmed contact on the campus, classes will be conducted via online distance learning means for those classmates and the faculty member in the same class. If there are two confirmed contacts, that campus should adjust the teaching methods by suspending on-site classes without suspending learning and teaching.
(2)匡列:與確診者直接接觸者,隔離10天。
(2) Identified potential contacts: direct contact with a confirmed case, quarantined for 10 days.
(3)自主健康管理:由衛生單位開單者,隔離7天。
(3) Self-health management: receive notification from a health unit, quarantined for 7 days.
(4)自我健康監測:如細胞簡訊、非直接接觸者,可自由行動,但需加強自我健康管理,如早晚量體溫、勤洗手、戴口罩,學校規定一天內要進行快篩,若陰性則正常活動,若陽性則依確診處理。
(4) Self-health monitoring: receive a text notification from the CDC or are indirect contacts, can move about freely and practice enhanced self-health management measures, such as checking body temperature morning and night, washing hands frequently, and wearing a face mask. The university requires a rapid self-test completed within 24 hours. If the test is negative, this individual can move about normally. If the test is positive, comply with regulations for confirmed contacts.
